Strathmore chalked up an impressive win away to basement side Ellon in BT Caledonia Division One.

The visitors took time to get the better of the stuffy hosts and led only 8-0 at the break.

However, the Inchmacoble men clicked through the gears in the second period to chalk up a 39-7 win.

Strathie, who sit sixth in the table, will conclude their league programme with a fixture at home to champions Orkney.

The islanders clinched the title with a 39-12 win at Hillfoots. They will now step up to BT National Division Three.

Hillfoots will round off their first season in Division One on Saturday when they travel to face Highland.

Alloa rounded off their preparations for Saturday’s trip to BT Murrayfield with their closing match in the league, away to Madras in Division Two.
