The family of a Fife man missing for nearly two years fears his body could have been dumped in a huge drain.
The heartbroken family of Allan Bryant Junior, who has not been seen since leaving a Glenrothes nightclub in November 2013, said they have new information their missing son was killed at a house party and that his body was hidden in a drain in Woodside, Glenrothes.
The family, who are constantly appealing for information on social media to help them find the truth, said information was passed to them last week that Allan was in fact killed on the night he disappeared.
While the largest missing person search ever to be carried out in Fife has not found a trace of the 24-year-old, his family have also conducted their own searches.
They say they have managed to search some of the drain but need help to have it fully examined.
While the family fear the worst, they want closure and an explanation of what happened that night when Allan was last seen at Styx nightclub in Glenrothes.
They are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward and tell them, the police or Crimestoppers.
Allan’s father Allan Senior said the new information centred on two people who had come forward after speaking to a man who alleged that Allan went to a party on that fateful night and was killed and disposed of in a drain.
“He gave three names,” Mr Bryant claimed.
The family have passed that information on to the police.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The search for Allan Bryant continues and whenever new information is received it is assessed and investigated appropriately.
“We continue to engage with the Bryant family to provide an update on our progress in the search for Allan.
“Anyone with information as to his whereabouts who has not yet contacted police is asked to come forward immediately.”
Mr Bryant said the family would not stop in the search for their missing boy.
“We are still going to search, no matter what. Nothing is going to stop us.
“If the police won’t do it, we will do it.”
