An 82-year-old woman was trapped by her seatbelt for 45 minutes after her car was involved in a collision with another car in Dundee last night. The incident happened around 6.05pm in Balgowan Avenue near the traffic lights. The pensioner’s car flipped on to its side and firefighters had to use hydraulic cutting gear to free her. Police diverted motorists around the incident and the woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital. A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We took a patient with minor injuries to Ninewells at 7.44pm.” The driver of the other car, who was in her thirties, was unhurt.
