Dundee youngster Jamie Reid joins Montrose on one-month loan

Montrose boss Stuart Garden has brought in Dundee midfielder Jamie Reid on a month-long loan.

The 19-year-old winger has recently recovered from an ankle injury and has been playing for the Dark Blues’ reserves.

However, Dens Park boss John Brown has now allowed him to go out on loan to the Angus side, a decision that has delighted Garden.

He said on Wednesday night: “We completed all the paperwork yesterday afternoon and I am looking forward to working with Jamie.

“He is a wide player with plenty of pace and hopefully his spell with us will be beneficial to him and ourselves.

“Jamie did well last season while he was out on loan at Stenhousemuir and I am sure he will be a success with Montrose.”
