An elderly Fife woman has died in hospital following a road accident with a tractor.
Katherine Armit succumbed to her injuries at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following the crash at 10.55am on Wednesday.
The 73-year-old sustained serious injuries when the Ford Fiesta she was travelling in collided with a tractor on the A92, at its junction with the Freuchie to Kettlebridge road (C20).
Police have announced she died on Thursday evening.
A 47-year-old woman, who was driving the Fiesta, sustained an injury to her wrist, while the 18-year-old man driving of the tractor was uninjured.
Officers continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
