ByLeeza Clark
Former Monty Python star Terry Jones will discuss the flat earth and other medieval myths at St Andrews University’s 600th anniversary lecture.
Free tickets for the lecture, at 5.30pm on June 25 in the Younger Hall, will be allocated on a first come first served basis this evening by calling 01334 461901 or 01334 461905 between 6pm and 8pm.
This is just one of a packed programme of events to celebrate graduation week.
Also taking place will be a concert including the world premiere of a specially commissioned organ work by one of Scotland’s leading composers, James MacMillan.
Jones’s lecture, Columbus, America and the Flat Earth, also kicks off a four-day conference exploring the Middle Ages in the Modern World, one of the signature events of the 600th anniversary programme.
