Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl is back in charge of the Blue Brazil against Falkirk tonight after his commitments as the assistant manager with Northern Ireland caused him to miss the weekend defeat to Rangers.
While the Irish moved to second top of their Euro 2016 qualification group with a 2-1 win over Finland, the Blue Brazil remain second bottom of the Championship.
Nicholl said: “I have been brought up to date with how the players performed at the weekend at Rangers. They did well for the vast majority of the game however they lost their way towards the end and Rangers scored three times.
“We simply have to start picking up points and this game gives us a chance to do that. We have to make sure that we do not allow Falkirk to impose their passing game on us. We have to keep things tight and look for the opportunity to hit them with a goal.
“When we played Falkirk last week we lost a goal from a set-piece and that is not something we cannot be doing. I am looking for a very determined and dogged performance.”
Kenny Adamson who was dismissed in last Tuesday’s meeting is suspended, with Nicholl unable to call on the injured John Herron and Dean Brett.
Falkirk can move into a play-off place if they win. Tom Taiwo returns to Peter Houston’s squad after suspension and Botti Biabi is available after a knock. Rory Loy remains out with an ankle injury.
