The dual carriageway saw tailbacks near the village of Drumlithie before rush hour while a man was cut free from his vehicle. He was uninjured but taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a precaution. His red Vauxhall Astra collided with a white lorry. A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We used cutting gear to cut the man free from his car. “We extricated the man and made the scene safe.” The road had partially reopened by 7.42am and both vehicles were removed by 9am.
