Road closed due to hay bale fire in field. Pictured, the smoking remains. Emergency services were called to a home in Glenrothes this morning following a fire in a kitchen. Three fire engines were called to an address on Scott Road, in the South Parks area of the town, at around 10.45am. The fire was quickly extinguished and nobody is believed to have been injured. A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to Scott Road, Glenrothes, after reports of a fire in a house. “It started in the kitchen area and nobody was involved.”
