An English-language teacher beat up her Scottish partner after a row over alcohol, a court has heard.
Teresa Zuloaga, from Mexico, flew into a rage after her partner, Christopher Jorna, whom she met on the internet, criticised her for drinking too much on a night out.
The 51-year-old repeatedly punched Mr Jorna’s head and body, shouted and swore and smashed a window by hurling a mug at it.
Zuloaga, of Balhary Estate, Meigle, admitted attacking Mr Jorna on July 31 by repeatedly punching him on the head and body.
She also admitted destroying property and behaving in a threatening manner.
Solicitor Nicky Brown, defending, said: “This lady is a professional person. She teaches English in Mexico.”
