Two arrested in connection with armed robbery in Lochgelly

Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Lochgelly.

Police have charged a 25 year-old and 36-year-old following an incident in Melville Street on Sunday.

Detective Inspector Des FitzGerald said: “I want to reassure the local community that an imitation firearm has been recovered. I also want to thank the people of Lochgelly for their assistance with our investigation.”

The men are expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Friday.
