The hunt for a teenager who went missing while out with friends in Fife is continuing.
Thomas Brown, 17, was out in Methil when he became separated from the group at around 10pm on Friday and has not been seen since.
He was reported missing at around 2pm on Saturday after his family became concerned they had not received a telephone call or text.
Searches have been carried out over the weekend by police and relatives in the area where he was last seen and along the banks of the River Leven.
On Monday, specialist search officers were out in the Steelworks Brae area of Methil searching the scrub land around the river as well as along the banks.
A team of divers took to the River Leven and scanned the depths of the water as part of the operation.
Police confirmed the search had resumed this morning.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The search restarted at first light today. Depending on the weather conditions, the search will be in a similar area to yesterday.”
The teenager, who lives in Springfield and is understood to be part of the Travelling community, is described as 5ft 5in, slim, with blue eyes and his hair is shaved at the sides but longer on the top.
When last seen he was wearing a grey hooded top with a blue hood, a black Nike T-shirt with an orange logo and grey track suit trousers with denim pockets.
