Carla McGurn is accused of assaulting the child on various occasions between January and February last year at a house in Burntisland. It is claimed the 19-year-old seized the boy and shook him repeatedly. McGurn is further said to have inflicted blunt force trauma to his head and body to the child’s severe injury and to the danger of his life. McGurn pled not guilty to the allegation at the High Court in Glasgow. The case was adjourned until a further hearing in May in Edinburgh.
