Police, mountain rescue crews and fire service teams have mounted an investigation at Bridge of Earn for missing William Rattray. The 77-year-old was last seen on Tuesday evening. This morning, members of the Tayside Mountain Rescue unit joined firefighters in a search of the River Earn on the edge of town. Teams scoured the waters using RIB vessels. Search dogs have also been drafted in and police are carrying out door-to-door inquiries. https://youtube.com/watch?v=GnsCHQruMnc%3Frel%3D0 William is described as five feet six inches tall, of slim build with grey hair. When last seen he was wearing black dress trousers, black waist length waterproof jacket and black gloves. A police spokesman said his disappearance was out of character and there is concern for his welfare. He was last seen in the town at 7.40pm. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call police on 101 or call in at their nearest station.
