Thieves made with a significant haul of jewellery after breaking into a house in Blairingone.
The property, on Vicar’s Road Bridge, was targeted some time between Monday December 23 and Thursday January 2.
A number of ladies’ rings, including a wedding band and a gold ring set with three diamonds, were stolen.
The thieves also stole a gold locket on a chain and a gold half-sovereign, which bore the distinctive image of a Turkish leader on one side.
The total value of the haul is not yet known.
Local officers are carrying out inquiries.
