Man suffers gunshot wounds in incident at farm in Dumfries and Galloway

A 55-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital with gunshot wounds.

Police and ambulance services were called to a farm in the Corsock area of Dumfries and Galloway shortly after 7.15pm on Thursday after receiving a report that a man had sustained several gunshot injuries.

He was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where his condition was described as serious.

Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious and no-one else is being sought in connection with it.
