We’ve all known people who have inspired us.
Made us believe in something better.
People for whom “okay” simply isn’t good enough.
In short great people.
Today I’m going to doff the Coming Up cap to those people.
For they are our stellar reporters the people who helped to create this particularly Magnificent 7 for your Thursday enjoyment:
1) Lady luck alights on Laddie
There is a new twist in the Loch of the Lowes story as an osprey arrived at the nest to get it on with young Laddie but it’s NOT Lady. It’s a new gal. One wouldn’t want to in that particular nest if and when Lady does return…
2) Stevie’s sizzling sausages
McCrorie is gunning for victory in The Voice and victory could be his through the medium of sausages. We reveal all.
3) T in the Park gets tongues wagging
It’s only three months until the annual music extravaganzas is due to get under way. But what do locals make of the proposed switch to Strathallan? We find out.
4) People watcher becomes the watched
We have details of the “happy snapper” nabbed by police over his penchant for taking pictures of strangers on trains. Odd.
5) I’m blue
Deacon Blue are coming to Stonehaven (aka Rain Town?).
6) Grave news
We meet the students whose cemetery sketches are set to take a European exhibition by storm.
7) The Queen goes digital
Her Majesty has been poring over a new digital record showcasing presents offered to her forebear George IV. “You don’t get gifts like that any more,” she joked. And with japes like that you can quite imagine what a terrific read awaits.
Cap duly doffed I’m off to shake each of these wonderful authors by hand.
They raise me up, so I can stand on mountains. And so on and so forth.
