The chances of finding any survivors after a massive mudslide at a gold mine in Tibet buried 83 workers in piles of earth up to 30 metres deep are slim, authorities have said.
Rescuers have found five bodies and are searching for the remaining missing.
The workers were buried early on Friday when mud, rock and debris swept through the mine in Gyama village, which is in the Maizhokunggar county of the Chinese region.
It covered an area measuring around 1.5 square miles, about 45 miles east of the regional capital Lhasa.
By yesterday afternoon, searchers had found five bodies and were searching for the remaining 78 missing workers.
