Police investigating young woman’s death in Menzieshill

Police are continuing to probe the sudden death of a 21-year-old woman whose body was found in the Menzieshill area of Dundee.

The discovery was made around 8am on Tuesday when an ambulance was called to an address in Yarrow Terrace, close to Menzieshill High School.

Police were then summoned and they cordoned off the two-storey property to allow a examination to take place. Officers also carried out door-to-door inquiries in the area.

A police spokesman said: ”Inquiries are at an early stage and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”

The woman has not yet been named. It is understood her death may have been drug-related.

A local resident said: ”I only saw the young lassie a couple of times. She kept herself to herself.”
