Dundee sheriff loses patience with man who breached Asbo
ByThe Courier Reporter
A Dundee man who breached an Asbo by shouting abuse at his neighbour was jailed at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Kevin Marnie, 46, Eden Street, admitted breaching the order by shouting and swearing at Louise Hughes in Ancrum Court in December 2013.
Marnie also admitted breaching bail and possessing heroin in February 2014.
Depute fiscal Joanne Smith told the court: “At 11.15pm Miss Hughes was in her home address when she heard banging noises.
“A joiner was working on the door of the accused and told her he would be another five to 10 minutes.
“The accused appeared in the doorway and started calling her names.
“She called the police and the accused was cautioned and charged, to which he replied ‘lies’.”
Jailing Marnie for 11 months, Sheriff Elizabeth Munro told him: “You simply won’t take advice and I’m not prepared to put up with it any longer, it’s ridiculous.”
