A toddler spent several days with his dead mother’s body in a Perth flat. The youngster was discovered after friends of the 28-year-old woman, named locally as Lydia Macdonald, raised the alarm. Emergency services were scrambled to the property in Lickley Court on the edge of the city centre. The young boy was taken from the flat but it has not been revealed who is caring for him. A spokeswoman said the death was being treated as “unexplained” and inquiries were ongoing.
