Dundee thieves hurled a dog out of the window of a stolen van as they made their getaway in the vehicle on the Hilltown’s Main Street. Two teenagers got into the vehicle and sped off before throwing the cocker spaniel into the street. The dog’s owner, Ballumbie joiner Brian Finnegan, was working on Main Street when the criminals struck. Brian, 50, did not realise what had happened until he saw six-year-old Roxy, who he has raised from a puppy, wandering back towards him. He said: “A guy standing there said the dog just got launched out. “I’m glad they didn’t nick the dog as well. I’ve had to leave her at home, I normally take her everywhere with me.” Police are keen to speak to four men seen in the area at the time, aged 17-18. Three wore dark clothing and the other an orange/pink hooded top with grey jogging bottoms.
