Dundee boss Paul Hartley hit out at the “killjoys” who sent him to the stand at the end of last night’s pulsating drawn derby at Tannadice.
The first half ended goal-less but there were plenty of chances with the Dark Blues having the majority of them.
However, United came right back into it in the second half and stunned Dundee with a quick-fire Blair Spittal double within the space of just two minutes.

Greg Stewart gave the visitors a lifeline with a late trademark counter then team-mate Scott Bain produced an outstanding save to deny Simon Murray.
However, deep in stoppage time, the Dark Blues’ James McPake scored to secure a dramatic draw.
Hartley rushed down the track to celebrate and was sent to the stands by referee John Beaton.
The manager said: “I was sent off at the end because I left my technical area.
“The ref said it was the rules so he’d have to send me off. It was the fourth official who reported me.
“Are they killjoys? Yes. It was the dying seconds, getting a goal like that I got a bit excited.

“It’s a bad day when you can’t celebrate a goal. They are taking the joy out of football.
“What do they want you to do sit there in your seat and show no emotion? Well that’s not me.
“It will be interesting to see if anyone else comes out of the technical area this weekend.
“I did goquite far on, but you can’t help it. It’s a derby game, we’re 2-0 down and get back to 2-2 but you can’t celebrate.
“Scott Bain’s save was world class and it kept us in the game. It was a great game of football, there was great spirit and desire from us.
“Overall I think we deserved a point at least.”
Last-gasp hero James McPake added: “We did well to get a point out of the game but we are looking at it as two points dropped.
“The overall feeling is probably disappointment. I thought we did enough in the first half to be in front.
“It was disappointing to not have the lead but that’s not having a go at the front players because we all need to chip in.
“To save the game at the end is good, and it’s a good point here.
“We were never going to give up with that crowd behind us, both sets of fans were excellent.
“The atmosphere was great and it was a good game. We’re happy to have got back in the game the way we did.”
