The new traffic lights and layout at the Myrekirk roundabout on Kingsway will go live on Wednesday at 7pm.
A spokesman for Bear Scotland said: “Fine tuning of the traffic signals could be required during the first few days of operation and it is possible there may be some delays, especially during the morning and evening peaks.
“We would encourage motorists to plan their journeys and allow some extra time. They should also follow the designated lane markings and observe the signals to help avoid congestion.”
The spokesman said that minor adjustments to signal timings were often needed at new traffic lights to help optimise traffic flows.
The roundabout has been created to cope with the additional traffic expected on Kingsway and Myrekirk Road once the Asda store under construction opens.
