Forfar boss optimistic results will come By Eric Nicolson November 21 2015, 10:00am November 21 2015, 10:00am Share Forfar boss optimistic results will come Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://wpcluster.dctdigital.com/thecourier/sport/football/241617/forfar-boss-optimistic-results-will-come/ Copy Link Dick Campbell. Dick Campbell is sure that Forfar Athletic’s season will improve. The veteran manager insists that recent results have not been an accurate reflection on their performances. That, and the return from injury of several key players, is plenty of reason for confidence as Campbell takes his team to Stranraer today. “People might be surprised when I say I’m optimistic at the moment,” he said. “I’ve not got any issues with how we’re playing. “When I look back on the five games we’ve lost and the football we played, we could have won the five of them. “At last week’s game (a 2-2 draw at Stenhousemuir when Forfar were pegged back from 2-0 up) we just stopped playing. “I’m not being blas about it but I’m slowly getting players back. “The squad this weekend will be the strongest I’ve had available for 10 weeks.” Mark Baxter is available, as are Paul O’Brien and Derek Young. Stranraer may be second bottom, but Campbell expects a hard contest at the end of their long journey south-west. He explained: “I had Stranraer watched against Peterhead on Tuesday and they should have won. “We’ll be ready fro a tough game, and I’ll be going there with a pool of 20.”
