An amateur Dundee football team was forced to stop a match because of fouling on the pitch. Rather than opposition teams playing dirty, it is dog owners who are not cleaning up after their pets that are causing the stink. FC Claypotts claim the amount of dog mess left on the pitch at Claypotts Park may force them to call off games entirely. Secretary Callum Ogilvie said the dog fouling was “disgusting” and one game was even stopped because of the mess. He said: “The last two home games were so bad that I genuinely considered cancelling the tie. “It is disgusting and it has been getting really bad lately. “I have had to spend even more time going around and picking it all up before we play. “We have even had the referee stop a match and tell us to clean up some of it that we had missed before the game. “They made us take the metal pegs off of our goal posts and replace them with plastic ones for health and safety reasons. “I don’t understand why they don’t treat this like a safety risk.”
