Special prizes were awarded to several teams who took part in the 2015 Dundee Swimarathon.
The event, organised by Dundee Rotary Club, raised over £23,000 for local charities, sports clubs and the End Polio Now campaign.
The efforts of all 300 participants at the Olympia pool in February were honoured at a civic reception in the City Chambers.
The swimmers formed teams that completed 3060 lengths, equivalent to 47.5 miles or the distance from Dundee to Dunfermline.
The Blackadders Award for the most funds raised by a swimming club went to Monifieth Swimming Club. President Kenneth Ramsey accepted a cheque for £1770.
Invergowrie Primary School received the John Clark BMW Award for the most funds raised by a school team. The young group raised £370 each for the Children’s Hospice of Scotland (Rachel House) and McMillan Cancer Support.
Other trophies awarded for most lengths swam went to High School of Dundee (school team); Dundee Carers Centre (charity team); Menzieshill Whitehall Water Polo Club (club team) and The Andrew Gray Award was presented to Discovery Starfish (disability team).
Saltire Karate was presented with the Rotary Award for most effort by a club team, and Joanne Mills was given special recognition with the Committee Award for outstanding effort. Brae Kelpies (Brae Riding for the Disabled) were presented with the Committee Award for outstanding team.
The Purple Crocus Award, recognising the team which raised the most funds overall, went to the Crazy Hair Gang. The family team raised over £1730 for the Scottish Cot Death Trust after losing a young relative to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in 2013.
