Emergency services were scrambled to Campsie Road after reports of a fire in the kitchen of a ground floor flat at around 8.30pm. No one is believed to have been seriously injured and it is understood that the property suffered minor damage. A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “We received the call at 8.29pm. “There was a fire in the kitchen and two breathing apparatuses were used. “The fire was extinguished by removing the items which were alight. “All persons were accounted for and one occupant was removed prior to our arrival. “He was treated by the ambulance service.” The emergency services were on the scene for around 40 minutes. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received an emergency call from the fire service at 8.30pm. “One ambulance attended and we treated a man in his 50s.”Video courtesy of Stuart Cowper Photography
