Volunteer drivers are urgently being sought by a charity.
Perth Access Cars requires more supporters to help keep up with demand, as people continue to sign up for the service.
The organisation provides help and assistance to vulnerable and disabled passengers who require transport.
Alexander Stewart, chairman and local councillor, said: “Access Cars has helped and assisted thousands of individuals and we continue to go from strength to strength.
“With a fleet of cars and a minibus, which are in continual use, we have four to five vehicles out every day doing regular runs. These include taking individuals to health appointments in Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh, as well as taking people to doctors, chiropody or dental appointments and to events.
“For many, it is a lifeline and I pay tribute to our volunteer drivers, who are the unsung heroes of the organisation.”
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer with Perth Access Cars, which is based at Perth Royal Infirmary, can call 01738 639134.
Mr Stewart added: “More and more individuals require transport to and from locations and it is my hope that we will continue to play our part to ensure they receive that support.
“We can tailor-make schedules to suit anyone who wishes to become a volunteer driver.”
