Police have released new CCTV images as they continue the hunt for two men who robbed a Kirkcaldy bank.
The duo brandished a handgun and crowbar when they stole a four-figure sum from the TSB branch in the Templehall area of the town on Friday January 29.
Officers released initial images of men they wished to speak to as part of their enquiry last week and reported a strong public response.
However, further images have been released today, with police now stating that one of the suspects may be from Eastern Europe.
Detective Inspector Colin Robson of Kirkcaldy CID said: “The public response to our recent appeals has been tremendous and I’m extremely grateful to everyone who has, thus far, contacted police.
“We continue to pursue various lines of inquiry in relation to this extremely serious offence and officers are working tirelessly to trace those responsible.
“The public can rest assured that all information received will be acted upon.”
The first male is described as white, in his late 20’s or early 30’s with dark stubble on his face. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap and dark coloured clothing.
The second male is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, around 30 years old, of medium build and with stubble.
At the time of this incident, he wore a dark coloured baseball cap, dark blue/grey hooded top and dark coloured trainers.
He also wore dark blue jogging bottoms with a distinctive white coloured motif running partially down one leg.
Officers would also be interested to hear from anyone who is able to assist with identifying the brand of this clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Fife CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
