A woman needed to be rescued after her car flipped on to its side in Dundee.
The incident, involving a white Volkswagen Polo, took place on Ballindean Road in Douglas at about 7pm on Monday.
A group of five people came to her rescue immediately after the crash, helping to pull her out of the vehicle.
One of them was Ballindean Road resident Fiona Malloch, a scientist.
The 20-year-old said: “I heard a loud crash and when I looked out of the window I saw a white car slowly tipping on to its side.
“A red Clio and a blue Ford Focus were damaged as well.
“I ran outside and, along with other people, helped the woman climb out of the passenger door, which was facing upwards.
“The woman was very shaken, her mouth was bleeding and she had a bump on her forehead.
“The ambulance helped her but it didn’t look like she went to hospital.
“I’ve never seen the woman before. I don’t think she’s from this street.
“I felt really sorry for her, as the car looked a total write-off.
“The passenger side was smashed up and the bumper was damaged.
“I was shocked by the whole thing.
“You don’t often get this on a Monday night.”
A spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 27-year-old woman has been charged with a road traffic offence following a road traffic incident on Ballindean Road, Dundee, at about 7pm yesterday.”
