The work of fire stations across Perth and Kinross has been praised following a series of visits by a local councillor.
Community safety convener Douglas Pover dropped into 14 stations to see the wide range of skills provided by firefighters.
He has taken part in a home fire safety visit in Comrie, learned about youth engagement work and how local bases provide a hub for groups including community councils, first responders and the Tayside Mountain Rescue Team.
He was also shown the wide range of emergency response services available. The purpose of the visits was to help Mr Pover develop his knowledge and understanding of fire and rescue services, as well as support partnership working arrangements.
He was accompanied by a number of local councillors, who took the opportunity to engage with the firefighters.
Mr Pover said: “It has been very interesting and reassuring to see the excellent services provided by our community-based firefighters throughout Perth and Kinross.”
