Police in Fife have discovered a body while searching for a missing Kinghorn pensioner.
Officers looking for William Binnie (80) are understood to have found a man’s body in Kinghorn Harbour at around 3pm yesterday and further tests are due to be carried out today to establish his identity.
Mr Binnie’s family have been informed of the latest development.
Mr Binnie was last seen by his wife on Saturday night, but he was not in his Myre Crescent home when she woke at 6.30am on Sunday.
Police had said they were growing increasingly concerned for Mr Binnie who has recently been in hospital and may seem confused, asking members of the public to be vigilant when out and about in the local area.
