A rare collection of railway posters will go on sale in Dundee.
The prints, believed to be from the 1920s or 1930s, were discovered in a loft during a house clearance in Stirling.
Perthshire and Fife both feature among the posters as do areas further afield and auctioneers Curr & Dewar believe some of them could fetch a four-figure sum.
Steven Dewar from the auctioneers said: “We were asked to clear a property in Stirling and we found these posters rolled up in a bundle in the attic.
“It was only when we got them out and unrolled them that we realised what we had. The family had no idea where they may have come from.
“The images are from all across Scotland and beyond and include some really lovely images of the Forth Bridge and Rothesay, for instance.
“An image of Troon with a group of ladies playing golf is also fascinating.”
However, areas in Courier Country also feature among the images.
Mr Dewar added: “There is an image of Dunfermline Abbey and a lovely image advertising Perth as Scotland’s holiday centre.
“We have had a look around and with the right image they can make several thousand pounds.
“We have passed the word on to a few experts and enthusiasts to try to spread the word and spark some interest.
“If we can get into four figures with one or two, that would be fantastic.”
The posters will be auctioned next Tuesday, at 10am, at Curr & Dewar’s premises at 6 North Isla Street in Dundee.
