Car ends up on roof after crash in South Road, Dundee

A car was thrown on to its roof in a road accident in Dundee today.

The incident happened in South Road near the Kettledrum pub about 11am.

Initial reports said the driver of the car suffered a hand injury which was not thought to be serious.

Police and an ambulance crew raced to the scene, with the medical staff assessing the driver’s injuries to see if he needed to be taken to hospital.

South Road was closed by the incident and traffic was diverted on to other routes.

A recovery vehicle was called to lift the overturned car and remove it from the scene.
