A 31-year-old Perth man has been arrested on suspicion of supplying class-‘A’ drugs as part of a joint operation between Police Scotland and Merseyside Police.
The man was taken into the custody of detectives from the Matrix Serious Organised Crime unit who will interview him in Merseyside once searches at two Perth properties are complete.
Officers had obtained search warrants for properties in Glengarry Road and Tulloch Terrace, both Perth.
The arrest follows on from the charging of 22 people in Merseyside, South Wales, Devon and Cornwall last Thursday after a series of co-ordinated dawn raids, led by Merseyside Police with help and support from the south-west regional organised crime unit, ‘Tarian,’ and Devon and Cornwall Police.
Large amounts of class-‘A’ drugs, cannabis and cash were found during the searches last week.
