What started as a simple post on Facebook has developed into the latest major event to take place in Brechin.
The first Brechin Music Fest is taking place from Friday.
More than 35 performers, including the Complete Stone Roses, will be filling the pubs and venues of Brechin with all types of music.
The committee of Graeme Strachan, Wendy Coutts, Hazel Coutts, Charlie Cameron and Chris Black have dedicated many hours over the last 14 months bringing the Brechin Music Fest to fruition after an initial comment was made by Graeme asking if anyone thought Brechin should have its own music festival.
The festival kicks off on Friday night with a performance by tribute band the Complete Stone Roses in the City Hall.
They will perform classic tracks such as I Wanna Be Adored, Waterfall and Made of Stone.
Many of the pubs also kick off their weekend on Friday, with bands such as Nosmo King and Heidrum performing.
Saturday will see bands including Alpha Helix, Fubar and Sanctuary hit the big outdoor stage in Clerk Street.
A funfair and kids rides will also be nearby to keep everyone entertained.
The event will end with Survivor Sunday for dedicated fans who have managed to survive the first two days and are looking for even more fun.
The final day features bands such as the Blend and Pepperpot.
