A callous thief has stolen equipment from an ambulance parked at a Stonehaven hospital.
Police Scotland launched an appeal after revealing the theft from the emergency vehicle at the town’s Kincardine Community Hospital on Kirkton Road overnight on Wednesday.
The ambulance was parked up at 10.30pm on Wednesday and the theft discovered at 4.30am on Thursday.
The stolen equipment has been valued at a mid two-figure sum.
Sergeant Neil McHattie of the Kincardine and Mearns Community Policing Team said: “This is an unusual crime for the area and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the theft.
“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
