An 80-year-old motorist has admitted causing a crash on one of Perthshire’s busiest roads.
Alan Lyon, of Mains Drive, Dundee, pulled out from a side road on to the A93, where he collided with another car.
At Perth Sheriff Court the pensioner pled guilty to driving without due care and attention on the A93 Perth to Blairgowrie road, at the junction with the A984 Dunkeld to Coupar Angus road.
The charge stated he failed to maintain proper observations and drove his vehicle from a minor road on to a major road when unsafe to do so, causing a collision and injury to the occupants of another vehicle on July 26 last year.
Sentence was deferred until next month.
