AAIB report reveals air accident on runway at Perth

An aeroplane wing hit the ground as the aircraft was coming in to land at Perth airport, it has been revealed.
The EV-97 Teameurostar microlight suffered a scuffed wing in the incident, which happened in August.
A report was submitted to the Air Accident Investigations Branch, which has now released details of the incident.
At the time of the accident, the 61-year-old pilot was undertaking a training session in the aircraft, which he has flown for just 85 of his total 3,000 hours of flying experience.
As he brought the plane in to land on runway 21, the pilot found the plane was descending too quickly and it began to roll to the right.
An instructor travelling with the pilot took over the controls and planned to abort the landing but the right wing tip hit the tarmac and forced him to continue to bring the aeroplane in to land.
The aircraft touched down on the grass beside the runway and rolled to a stop.
The aeroplance suffered a scuffed right winglet and a dented nose landing gear leg as a result of the incident.
