Kilt hire shop Lawrence of Broughty Ferry ceases trading

Kilt hire firm Lawrence of Broughty Ferry is to cease trading.

The family-run shop’s owners said they had come to the decision with “deep regret”.

The shop had been in operation for over 20 years and was a well-known fixture on Brook Street. However, it has been closed for a number of weeks.

A company spokesman said: “It is with deep regret we must announce that Lawrence’s has now ceased trading. We would like to thank everyone for their custom and loyalty over the years.”

The shop is selling off its remaining stock online.
