Dundee’s Craig Wighton is set to go out on a season-long loan to Raith Rovers.
Both clubs are understood to have agreed a deal for the player however, Raith are still awaiting the final green light from the Dark Blues before being able to confirm Wighton will be coming to Stark’s Park.
Raith boss Ray McKinnon knows the highly-rated 17-year-old striker well as he previously had the teenager on loan last season when he was manager at Brechin City.
Wighton, who has represented Scotland at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 level, also made 17 appearances for the Dark Blues in the campaign just ended, mostly off the bench.
His progress has been closely monitored by sides here and down south with Sheffield United, Southampton and Swansea City all believed to have had him watched.
