A woman whose court case hit the headlines after a sheriff made quips about a famous sketch by the Two Ronnies has been admonished.
Dionne Mills, 27, was charged with stealing four candles from Perth’s Dobbies store on June 19 last year, prompting Sheriff Robert McCreadie to ask the fiscal depute: “Are messrs Barker and Corbett to be witnesses for the Crown?”
At Perth Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Mills, of Main Street, Perth, was ordered to pay £80 in compensation. Sheriff Lindsay Foulis admonished her on four charges.
On April 4 2012 she took clothing from Asda on Dunkeld Road, on June 20 2012 Mills took a shirt and handbag from Marks and Spencer on Perth’s High Street and on August 7 she took items and alcohol from Asda on Dunkeld Road.
