Two dead and four serious in motorway crash in West Lothian

Two people have died and four others were seriously injured in a collision between a van and a car on a motorway in West Lothian.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the eastbound carriageway of the M9 between Polmont and Linlithgow at around 9pm on Friday.
Police said two people died at the scene and a further four were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where their conditions were described as serious.
The road was closed between junctions four and three eastbound.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “This has been a serious road traffic collision which has resulted in two people losing their lives.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed it or who has information that can assist us in our inquiries.”
