VIDEO: Jacobite rises to the top at Brechin Spring Show

No stranger to championship success, Highland pony Coulnacraig Jacobite was crowned the supreme champion of the Brechin Spring Show.

Owned by Karen and Robin Stewart, of Stables Brae, at Durris, and ridden by Maggie Inglis, the seven-year-old stallion rose through the packed mountain and moorland ranks to prevail as the best horse overall.

The spring show, organised by Val Blewitt and supported by a team of volunteers, attracted a record entry of competitors to Brechin Castle.

“I could not have asked for a better turnout,” Val said.
