Terrified woman says stranger walked into house and refused to leave

A suspected thief who sneaked into a young woman’s house in the middle of the afternoon on Thursday is being sought by police.

The terrified homeowner took to social media to express her disbelief to find the man in her house who she said refused to leave.

Police Scotland are making inquiries into an attempted theft after a man was found within an address in Walkers Mill, Hilltown, Dundee.

A spokeswoman said: “He is described as being in his twenties, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, and of slim build. He was wearing a round-necked long sleeved top, grey tracksuit bottoms.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
