Singer Joan Armatrading to pay return visit to Arbroath

Fans of Joan Armatrading will have a second chance to catch her first solo world tour.
The singer-songwriter is due in Angus next week and fans disappointed to have missed out on a ticket for the Webster Theatre show in Arbroath have been given the good news that a second date is on the calendar.
Theatre staff have received confirmation that Armatrading will return to Angus on August 12, with tickets due to go on sale at the Webster Theatre at 9am on Wednesday.
After more than four decades, Armatrading decided to embark on a full-scale solo tour.
Three times Grammy nominated, a Brit award nominee, an Ivor Novello award winner and an MBE, Armatrading is known for her talents across a range of musical genres through hits including Love and Affection, Willow, and Me, Myself I.
“I will never retire, but this will be the last major tour,” she said.
