An Angus man has narrowly avoided jail after admitting two counts of housebreaking.
Connor Mack, 19, of no fixed abode, who appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court on Thursday, had sentence deferred by Sheriff Kevin Veal.
He was sent for a bail assessment at Eastport House in Dundee and warned he could be jailed if he does not comply.
Mack admitted that on October 3 he broke into a home in Edzell and stole a laptop, four watches aftershave and a bottle of cognac, after having been at the house earlier that day while working.
He also admitted that between October 22 and 23 he broke into a house on Edzell High Street and stole a games console with seven games, six bottles of aftershave, five iPods, two iPhones, three mobile phones and accessories, sunglasses, a tub of cash and other items.
