It’s life, Alex, but not as we know it – Salmond talks time warps and discoveries in space
ByKieran Andrews
You would think having some banter with William Shatner on Twitter was enough, but no.
Alex Salmond returns to the themes of space travel in his exclusive Courier column, pondering whether or not the discoveries of the earth-like planet Kepler 425b, plus water on Mars and hints of underground lakes and blue skies on Pluto means we might not be alone.
The truth is out there somewhere, I’m sure. Plus, whatever else is inhabiting our solar system must be more human than some of those raging on the internet.
He’s also talking time warps, though. The former First Minister has just been reading a pamphlet by an SNP activist from 1958, chronicling the news and social issues of the day. How much have things changed?
Apparently there are more similarities than we might first imagine.
