Prince William and his wife Kate have said they are “delighted” to be visiting Dundee on Friday.
The royal couple will spend an entire day in the city, making a string of appearances with a focus on young people and mental health.
There will be a number of opportunities for the wider public to meet the couple, with the mid-morning visit to the Rep Theatre and afternoon visit to the Discovery providing the “best opportunities”.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to be visiting Dundee on Friday.
“Their Royal Highnesses, who first met while at the nearby University of St Andrews, are very much looking forward to returning to the region and having the opportunity to meet people from the city.
“They will visit a number of different organisations throughout the day, some of which will be more viewable to the public than others.
“If people would like to see their Royal Highnesses on Friday, we would suggest their visit to the Rep Theatre in the middle of the morning, or their visit to the Royal Research Ship Discovery early in the afternoon, would offer the best opportunities.”
